Gianfranco Franchi

Founder

Gianfranco Franchi is a landscape architect, founder and artistic director of the studio FRANCHI+ASSOCIATI (F+A); he has over 30 years of professional experience in the field of landscape architecture. Gianfranco graduated with a Landscape Architecture Degree from the University of Genoa and a Degree in Architecture from the University of Florence. He also obtained a Specialist Degree in Landscape Architecture and Design at the University of Genoa. Throughout his career, he has dealt with different aspects of the landscape design profession, including designing parks, waterfronts, squares, urban spaces, residential gardens, roof gardens, landscape planning, environmental impact studies (EIA) and naturalistic engineering.

ogether with Chiara Tesi and Rea Sepping, he founded the landscape design company F+A Maastikuarhitektuur OÜ, in Estonia. Gianfranco was the vice president of the Italian Association of Landscape Architecture (AIAPP) from 2006 to 2012 and is a member of AIPIN, the Italian Association of Landscape Engineering.

He was an adjunct professor of Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Genoa for 10 years (2002-2012) and in the Landscape Architecture Master Degree of the University of Florence (2010-2011). He currently teaches as an adjunct professor at the two-year Master in Landscape Architecture at the University of Florence.
