Serchio floodplain

Project details

The project involves the creation of a green area on the left floodplain of the Serchio river, located in La Guardia, outside of the historical wall of the city of Lucca. The intervention aims to enhance some activities already present in the area, such as the rest area for the urban park and the area dedicated to skateboarding. The project also aims to improve the ecological system of the area and to reclaim it from exotic species, through the use of native species typical of the river environment to create tree-lined rows. In this way, we intend to create a natural and welcoming environment for the local community, offering new opportunities for recreation and promoting the biodiversity of the territory.
