Tammik park

Project details

Tammik Park is a tribute from the city of Tartu to the great people who have contributed to the development of art, culture, music, economics, social sciences and other disciplines.

The park is located in the south-east suburbs of the city, within an area of naturalistic value. Along the two main boulevards of the park, English oaks (Quercus robur) have been planted, each of which bears the name of an illustrious person. The rest of the area has been structured as a large extensive park that includes a large entrance square with parking, a circular square dedicated to meditation and an amphitheatre for shows and public events.
