Project details

The works of redevelopment and enhancement of the area of Piazzetta Gregorutti are located at the end of the long waterfront of the city of Lignano Sabbiadoro. An extreme strip of land, theater of antagonistic forces, where water and sea have created landscapes and sensations of considerable scenic value. The project, in this context, assumes strategic importance to enhance the identity characteristics of the place and the elements of landscape quality: the lighthouse, the coast of the lagoon of Marano, the fishing village. The new Piazzetta Gregorutti is in fact designed as a space capable of improving the relationship with the sea, enhancing the historical and cultural characteristics of the place and promoting a new use of urban space. The project is proposed as a redevelopment tool in which flooring, stone elements, seats and trees are articulated, able to create places of rest and relaxation to increase social relations and at the same time enhance the historical and visual elements present.
